As a child I was immediately drawn to music. My father was singer and did various shows with church quartets and such so
there was always music. I was very active in the church and began singing and playing the piano; I played piano by ear at that timeAs a teenager, I was active in band, chorus and theater. I basically did
anything to be performing. Performing was always the one thing for me that made sense and always made me feel better. |

I eventually start entering talents shows, doing solos in various venues and took a fond interest in choral music. It
was a freak accident one day in chorus I stayed after class and the teacher heard me singing with a friend and asked "why don't you ever audition for Pizzazz(top choral group) and I said.."men
can't take chorus seriously"..I was INDEED a different person then. She then dragged me to audition for the committee and from that point on I took on a whole new life. I did all-state chorus and soon
formed my own acapella group called WITNESS(later became DIMENSIONAL HARMONY). We performed alot of spirituals and patriotic songs. |

As I got older, I turned to bands and began fronting several bands. This is where I began songwriting and composing.
College brought on even more adventures. I finally was able to learn music theory, study voice and piano professionally. I got involved in classical & oratorio music and eventually did opera for 2 years.
The following year, I got involved with Pacesetters(a jazz-vocal group) and traveled and did various venues. At this time, I still hadn't found what I was looking for???..I needed something that merged
singing, dancing and acting..and then I discovered musical theater..and my prayers were answered!!!! From that point, I got involved with theater and got into several musicals and dinner theater shows. It
was a blast but there was still one demon lurking...my weight. I had been very much overweight and was always told "you're terrific!!!!!!".."you sound great...if you could only just lose some
weight". |

Finally in 1995, I made a conscious decision about my health, recommitted myself and over a 3-year span lost 100lbs. Soon
afterwards, I produced a one-man cabaret and moved here to Atlanta in August 1999. In Atlanta, I started taking dance classes, acting classes and focused on pursuing theater on a professional level.
Favorite Atlanta credits include MAME, MAN OF LA MANCHA, THE MEMBER OF THE WEDDING, CLOSER THAN EVER, CIVIL WAR, HAIR, BELLS ARE RINGING and CAROUSEL. Last year, I had the pleasure of producing and starring
in THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG(cabaret also featuring Natalie Gray, Leslie Truman and Rachel Bodenstein). It was a bitter-sweet experience because my sister(whom was my biggest fan and couldn't wait to see this
production) passed away 2 months before this show went up. . |

I recently completed my second full-length production using some of Atlanta's talent titled "Through The Eyes Of
Love" (a variety show) and I'm not only working with friends but some of the most talented actors here in Atlanta. My journey is by no means over, in fact, I think I have just begun!!!!!..Thank you
for visiting my site and allowing me to share. I do hope you'll come back and visit again |
